A thanksgiving prayer service
A day after the All Bulgarian Saints Orthodox Church was transported into the courtyard of the Todor Kableshkov University of Transport a thanksgiving prayer service for the construction successful delivery and assembly was performed. The celebration was attended by numerous lecturers, students, laity and guests. Father Georgi, in his capacity of Church board chairman, thanked all contributors who had participated in funds collecting aimed at the church construction and said he was glad that seven years after the noble idea appeared, the church is on its location and really soon will receive laity.
Father Georgi also said within his sermon: “Brothers and sisters, we have gathered today to thank the Lord for His great benefactions to us and for His great mercy for having crowned our enterprise with success, notwithstanding the enormous hardships we faced. By God’s providence this event is happening on the veneration day of the holy martyrs from Batak, a numerous host of God-pleasing people from Bulgaria who suffered for Christ’s faith. And it should be mentioned that our new church is dedicated namely to all the saints having originated from Bulgaria. Nowadays we witness the fulfilment of the first Bulgarian martyr St. Boyan Enravota’s great prophetic speech, according to which, for this very faith he perished, killed by his brother, a great number of churches will be erected on Bulgarian territory and pure priests will serve in purity the pure God! May it please the Lord that in this new, though not big church, many human souls may find their eternal salvation in God! Amen!”
